At Salt Flats Bay Adventures, we want your time on the water to be as enjoyable and hassle-free as possible. We’ll handle all the essentials, including fishing tackle, bait, life vests (PFDs), bottled water, and an ice chest for any drinks and snacks you’d like to bring along. If you need any extra refreshments, just let us know, and we’ll be happy to make special arrangements to keep you comfortable. Our goal is to make your experience seamless so you can focus on soaking up the adventure.
All of our charters are private and designed around your interests. Whether you’re joining us for a fishing trip, a scenic sunset cruise, birding charter, nature tour, or one of Diane’s on-water photography sessions, it’ll just be you and your crew—no crowds, just your personal adventure. We keep it simple with a maximum of three paying customers per trip to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort on board. Our 25-foot Majek “Illusion,” powered by a 250 HP Yamaha, is built for stability and maneuverability, giving us easy access to both open waters and shallow flats. So, whatever you’re here to experience, we’ll make sure it’s a memorable day on the water.

Inshore Fishing Charters
Get ready for some of the best inshore fishing along the Texas coast! Our charters target redfish, speckled trout, and other local favorites in iconic bays like Aransas Bay, Redfish Bay, and Copano Bay. Depending on the season, you’ll find reds tailing in shallow flats or trout feeding in deeper channels. Fall is prime time for big redfish, while spring and summer are perfect for trout action. We’ll use proven spin fishing techniques, like casting live shrimp or soft plastics on popping corks, and sight casting for reds on the flats. Whether you’re new to the game or an experienced angler, we’ll make sure you’re all set for a day of reeling in memories.
Sunset Cruises
Experience the Texas coast in a whole new way with our sunset cruises! There’s nothing like watching the sun dip below the water, casting a warm glow over the bays and marshes. We’ll take you to some of the best spots along the coastline where you can soak in the views, snap a few photos, and relax with friends or family. Keep an eye out for local wildlife, too—dolphins, birds, and even a few fish might make an appearance as the day winds down. Bring your favorite snacks or drinks, and we’ll take care of the rest, making it an easygoing evening you won’t forget.
Birding Charters
If you’re into bird watching, our Texas coast tours are a dream come true! This area is packed with birdlife, especially during migration seasons. From graceful whooping cranes at the Aransas Wildlife Refuge to vibrant roseate spoonbills, pelicans, and ospreys, there’s always something incredible to see. We’ll take you to hidden marshes and quiet shorelines where these birds thrive, giving you a chance to get up close without disturbing their natural routines. Photography Sessions
Join us for an on-water photography class along the stunning Texas coastline! Whether you’re capturing the dramatic landscapes of the bays or snapping action shots of coastal birds in flight, we’ll help you make the most of every shot. We’ll share tips and techniques for everything from composition to lighting, so you can capture the beauty around you like a pro. From pelicans and spoonbills to breathtaking sunsets over the water, there’s no shortage of incredible subjects out here. It’s a relaxed, hands-on way to improve your photography skills and come away with shots you’ll love. Just bring your camera and an open mind, and let’s get creative on the water!

Cancellation Policy
A $150.00 non-refundable deposit will be required for all charters. Payment for deposit and charter can be made by Venmo or Cash.
Meeting Location
We offer trips up and down the Texas coast, so charter meeting locations are always tailored to whatever is the most convenient for our guests. Give us a call to talk about options!
Gratuities
Tips for our guides are not included in our trip rates. We work hard… and you’ll notice it for yourself! We appreciate your business.
